"Drömel"
"Drömel"
Look out! - Our "Drömel" is our first clown nose that is made of leather.
This little runt has a very classic shape. It is not quite round, but still has the unique effect of a round clown nose. The nostrils are made a little longer and cover them very nicely. The nose is very short and likes to lie directly against the tip of the nose.
As a clown, this "Drömel" would like a small, short human nose to really show off.
Material: strong, vegetable-tanned cowhide - also called blank leather. For this purpose, we have selected particularly stable, strong and highly durable leather. First, it is wet-worked into shape. After drying, the almost finished nose is sanded and smoothed. Then it is painted several times with red colour. A final leather sealant ensures that the clown nose retains its colour for a long time.
Word usage: What now is a Drömel? - Of course, once again a term we use here in Ostwestfalen Lippe, my home state. Here we call a "Drömel" a person who is dreamy and slow. My mother, I remember very tenderly, would occasionally say to my smaller self in the past: "Anne, don't drone on like that!" - Yet I was fully the speedster 😊

Note by the artist
.Leather noses are a little hard at the beginning of wearing. On the other hand, they retain moisture very well during prolonged wear and thus do not drip. Over time, the leather also becomes a little softer. Please note: the tiny wrinkles on the outer wall of the nose are a result of the production process, as are the slight colour shades. They emphasise once again that this is leather, a natural material!
These noses are only available with rubber band fastening!
